I saw a photo of Jago's work for the first time when I was still living in Rome and I was still an actor.Other than being a great artist, Jago also has the ability to communicate with his followers on social media. I was one of them, and his videos and photos turned out to be very useful for me during the period in which I was trying to quit my career as an actor and dedicate myself to something that felt more fulfilling to me. He didn’t attend an art school either and that was the reassurance to me that I didn’t need an academic curriculum to make it. That was the trigger to hit the ground running and follow his example so, just like he did, I started sculpting my new life too, or better said: painting it.

I am very grateful to Jago and for this reason I wanted him to be part of my series of paintings as well.I managed to get in touch with his manager, and while I was in Vienna studying Klimt's paintings in person, I got a call that Jago had agreed to pose for me and that I had to be in Naples as soon as possible. When I got to the church that the city of Naples offered him as his own private studio, I was overwhelmed with so many emotions. I was witnessing almost all the art works that he had done over the years and he was working on his most recent sculpture. He immediately put himself at my disposal and I took a couple of photos of him. After that we talked about art and about why we both make art, until 2 in the morning. That moment marked me deeply.

Jago y su arte han sido una fuente constante de inspiración para mí. Vi una foto suya por primera vez cuando aún vivía en Roma y todavía era actor. Además de ser un gran artista, Jago también tiene la capacidad de comunicarse con sus seguidores en las redes sociales. Yo era uno de ellos, y sus videos y fotos me resultaron muy útiles durante el periodo en el que intentaba dejar mi carrera como actor y dedicarme a algo que me llenara más. Ese fue el detonante para ponerme manos a la obra y seguir su ejemplo, así que, al igual que él, yo también empecé a esculpir mi nueva vida, o mejor dicho: a pintarla.

Estoy muy agradecido a Jago y por eso quise que también formara parte de mi serie de cuadros. Conseguí ponerme en contacto con su representante y mientras estaba en Viena estudiando en persona los cuadros de Klimt, recibí una llamada en la que me decían que Jago había aceptado posar para mí y que tenía que estar en Nápoles lo antes posible. Cuando llegué a la iglesia que la ciudad de Nápoles le ofrecía como estudio privado, me invadieron muchas emociones. Fui testigo de casi todas las obras de arte que había realizado a lo largo de los años y estaba trabajando en su escultura más reciente. Inmediatamente se puso a mi disposición y le hice un par de fotos. Después hablamos de arte y de por qué ambos hacemos arte, hasta las 2 de la madrugada. Ese momento me marcó profundamente.
